Janai Campbell's Blender/Unity VR Projects

About Me

Hi, I’m Janai Campbell, a VR/AR enthusiast and developer exploring the intersection of Unity, Blender, and immersive design. I started this site to document my journey building interactive scenes, experimenting with simulations, and creating 3D models. My projects focus on learning the fundamentals of VR development while also pushing toward applications in research and creative storytelling. I'm currently a senior in college studying computational science and engineering with a minor in Physics and an honors distinction in research. I've been doing research in fluid mechanicas using Virtual Reality for the last 3 years and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Choose a project to explore:

🌊 Water Simulation Scene
A Unity experiment where I simulated the motion of one object pouring into the other using "a" and "d" as the commands to rotate the cup.
🔳 Changing Square
A scene that changes the color and size of the square depending on the keys used. Clicking on the square changes its color, using "a,w,s,d" moves the position of the camera, and "b,v" changes the size of the square.
🧪 First Sample Scene
My very first Unity build, testing basic lighting and interactions in the CAVE (Computer Assisted Visual Enhancement - Virtual Reality) scene.
💧 Water Wave Simulation
Water animation in Blender where I am trying to build a wave tank. Currently testing how the cube interacts with the water.
💧 Water Ball Scene
My first animation in Blender, trying to see how the sphere interacts with the fluid. Press play, then click on the sphere and hold down on the "g" key to see how it interacts with the water (creating water puddles and waves).

Blender Projects

Avatar in Blender
This avatar was my first attempt at character modeling in Blender, created to learn texturing and rigging basics. This avatar was created for a VR-TSST project. This image shows my avatar in his orignal position and his riggedt T-pose position.
Wineglass Blender project
A beginner project where I modeled a simple wineglass to practice working with Blender’s modifiers and keyboard shortcuts.
Waterwheel animation
A beginner project, studying how the water interacts with the wheel and figuring out a way to make it look more realistic.
